Spaces Available
Welcome, my name is Sheryl Grant.
I offer a warm, understanding space where you can talk openly, feel supported, and begin to make sense of what’s happening in your life. Using a blend of Person-Centred Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, I help clients gently reconnect with themselves and move toward healing and balance.
Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, I work with adults online and face to face in a compassionate, down-to-earth way — meeting you wherever you are on your journey.
You don’t have to face things alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you.

About Me
I’m Sheryl and I bring warmth, understanding, and genuine care to my work as a therapist. At 57, I’ve gathered a lot of life experience — as a wife, mother, sister, and friend — and I know how important it is to feel truly heard and supported when life feels challenging.
My approach combines Person-Centred Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) with mindfulness and somatic (body-based) exercises. These approaches help clients connect more deeply with themselves — mind and body — and gently release the effects of stress, anxiety, and past experiences.
I believe therapy is a space for you to be yourself — without judgment — and to discover new ways of understanding and caring for yourself. Whether we meet online or face to face, my aim is to offer a safe, compassionate environment where you can heal, grow, and find balance.
How I Work
I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, supportive, and at your pace. Every person’s story is unique, so I tailor each session to meet your individual needs.
My work is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy, which offers empathy, respect, and understanding — giving you space to explore what’s happening in your life without judgment. Alongside this, I use EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic exercises to help you process difficult experiences, reconnect with your body, and feel more grounded in the present moment.
Some people come to therapy for a few sessions to focus on a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term work for deeper exploration. Whatever your needs, my aim is to support you in finding clarity, calm, and confidence.

What to Expect in a Session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the process as calm and comfortable as possible. Our sessions are a space just for you — somewhere you can slow down, reflect, and explore whatever feels important right now.
In our first meeting, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to get from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll go at your pace.
As we continue, we may draw on Person-Centred Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic work to support emotional and physical awareness, grounding, and self-understanding.
Whether online or face to face, my goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and understood as you move toward greater wellbeing.
I offer a safe space to talk and be truly listened to. I specialise in helping people cope with difficult memories/experiences.
My experience as a school counsellor helps young people feel understood.
During our beginning sessions I will help you to feel as safe and able as you can to share your story with me.
Together we will form a plan of what you would like to address and why.
I also offer the opportunity to work intensively with EMDR. This may involve several longer sessions over one or two weeks. Suitability for this program would be discussed during an initial telephone consultation.
As a Psychotherapist my role is to help you with the challenges life can throw at us. This can include:
Anxiety
Depression
Bereavement
Abuse
PTSD

Domestic Violence
Parenting
Relationship difficulties
Self-esteem
Self harm
Sleep issues
Stress
